What is Sports Therapy?
Sports Therapy refers to the rehabilitation and treatment of injuries, aches or pains relating to muscle, joint or tendon tension. Treatments available at our clinic include soft tissue manipulation, deep tissue massage, spinal and joint mobilisations, medical acupuncture, Kinesiology taping and ultrasound following an in-depth injury assessment with our sports therapy specialist.
Why Choose Perform Sports Therapy?
All treatments provided at Perform Sports Therapy are delivered by sports therapist, Katie Ditchman, who fully qualified in 2011 with a Bsc (Hons) in Sports Therapy and is a member of The Society of Sports Therapists, Federation of Holistic Therapists and The British Medical Acupuncture Society.
Also accredited by the Professional Standards Authority, a government body set up to improve standards and safety for the benefit of the public, visitors to the clinic can feel confident that we are committed to high professional standards, enhanced safety and delivering a better service to our customers.
Fully insured to treat ongoing members and one-off customers, Katie continually participates in ongoing training and development to ensure her skills are maintained and she remains up to date with the latest methodologies in sports therapy, pre-natal and post-natal care.
Who Is Sports Therapy For?
Sports Therapy can provide amazing stress and tension relieving affects for a variety of individuals. Not limited to athletes only, those suffering from joint or muscle pain, back pain from too long at a desk, women during pregnancy and more can all benefit from the rehabilitating effects of medical acupuncture, deep tissue massage, strength training and injury management.
Able to assess injuries and rehabilitation, therapies can also aid in the prevention of injury from sports related injuries, postural problems, muscular complaints or post-natal injuries.
